From Angie of BB Wed: The Big Chill Beach Club is the coolest spot in Bethany, with views overlooking the ocean and the bridge and bay connecting–it’s no wonder Megan and Jared picked this spot to share their ‘I Dos’. It suited them perfectly.
This wedding had all our favorite tropical elements. Megan rocked a simple lace dress and Jared sported his favorite Hawaiian shirt, of course! The couple lived together in Hawaii for a few years and embraced not only the island life but the people and its culture. The vibe for their wedding was easy and came so naturally. The florals were super bright and vibrant giving a really authentic vibe. The best part? Their friends surprised them with two leis flown in from Hawaii and presented them to M & J at the ceremony. Not a dry eye! This wedding was special, it was magic.
The party started with a fun cocktail hour which led into an equally casual dinner. They bucked tradition and nixed the formal introductions, they opted for a group dance – it set the tone for the entire night! As for the music selection rocked! The Bachelor Boys were fantastic.
One thing I found to be particularly special was when Meg’s Dad gave a truly heartfelt speech and led into a song that he wrote for her. It started off as a sweet serenade and turned into a full-on jam session. The crowd roared, and the band decided to join in. It was awesome! We definitely had the ‘A Team’ that night, with Brett Denfeld was behind the camera to capture it all.
