-Tell us a little about your background. When and where did your business start? What made you want to be a wedding vendor?-
I’ve baked since I was a little girl with my Suzy Homemaker oven! In 2008, I began my business selling only “Jeanne’s Pumpkin Rolls” and I rapidly grew my product line from there. In 2017, I baked my first wedding cake and cupcakes for a friend, and I was hooked! I’ve shifted my focus to weddings and absolutely love everything about them- from working with couples and their families, to the network of vendors. There’s an abundance of happiness when you pair weddings and cakes, and I love having a SWEET part in such a special day!
-How do couples usually find you? What have you found is the question most often asked by couples about your wedding services?-
I depend largely on word-of-mouth and referrals, so it’s great to get a shout out on social media (Instagram is my platform of choice). Couples usually have some idea of what they want their dream cake to look like, and they often want to know if I can customize the look . . . and YES, I CAN! Once they have their tasting consultation, they know their cake is going to be delicious. At the consultation we also discuss every other detail thoroughly, so they know their cake and desserts are going to be the best for their guests.
-What do you think is the best thing about the array of options that you can potentially offer a couple?–
My cakes and desserts are made with quality ingredients. Being able to bring a couple’s vision to life, to tell their story through a perfectly designed cake and dessert bar that leaves their guests feeling fully pampered, is the most thoughtful thank you that makes your wedding day so memorable for a long time to come.
-Can you tell us an example of a problem that you solved for a wedding client?-
Covid-19 created a lot of challenges, but we overcame! My first wedding during the pandemic to be thrown a curve ball was reduced to just the bride and groom, their parents and officiant. They still had a small celebratory cutting cake, and we were able to package assorted cupcakes in boxes for each guest to take home and enjoy! My final wedding of the 2020 season presented the same challenges; my bride had dreamed of her dessert bar for so long, and we were able to accommodate with individually-wrapped desserts, offered on stands and trays to make the gorgeous display as she’d planned.

-What would you say are the top 3 things couples should consider when looking for a wedding cake and/or other sweets?-
I believe it’s important for couples to engage a qualified and experienced wedding baker, licensed in a certified kitchen who has the ability to create your vision flawlessly, while offering their own input. You want a baker who uses quality ingredients and bakes from scratch, enhancing the flavors of the cake/desserts, in a variety of ways that pleases all palates. Most importantly, schedule a tasting consultation to discover first-hand the delectable options available as well as to make sure you have a comfortable fit with your baker/designer.
-Please describe the array of options you offer-
All my creations are made from scratch, using natural, high-quality ingredients. Our offerings range from small ceremonial cakes to multi-tiered showstoppers, sinfully moist with the freshest flavors, clothed in silky, American buttercream. My specialty dessert bars feature an array of home-baked goodness from cupcakes, assorted cookie platters, our signature Mason Jar desserts (think strawberry shortcake with vanilla bean custard, bread puddings, crème brulée), mini apple cider donuts, salted caramel butter bars, our signature dessert rolls (pumpkin, tiramisu, lemon raspberry), miniature tartlets (lemon custard, chocolate cream) and boozy “bundtlets” (vanilla bean bourbon, chocolate bourbon, apple brandy and zucchini limoncello), chocolate-glazed vanilla custard profiteroles, cheesecake bites and our popular hand pies (apple, blueberry, cherry). Our options are endless, and we can even recreate a family favorite from Grandma’s recipe!
