Originally called “The Oaks”, Kingsbay Mansion was purchased by The Carlin Company in 2000 as an executive retreat for members of the meetings and entertainment industry. David King is Executive Director of the premier production company, which boasts many clients like Oprah Winfrey, US Presidents and numerous stars. All of these folks appreciate the quiet and solitude that the Georgian waterfront wedding venue offers. Hundreds of events were planned and produced on property.

In 2015, the decision was made to rebrand the property as Kingsbay Mansion and open to the public as an executive bed and breakfast and wedding destination. Under the skillful direction of Jerry Philpott, Director of Sales and Marketing, Kingsbay Mansion opened with roaring success to an industry that was desperate for exciting, new accommodations and celebrity-level events, especially weddings. The magic of Kingsbay is the sheer grandeur of mansion itself and its 2000 feet of manicured waterfront- a the splendid backdrop for your amazing day!

Kingsbay Mansion is the jewel of the Chesapeake Bay. Situated on the peninsula of Coulbourn Creek at the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay just north of Crisfield Maryland, this elegant Georgian waterfront estate is one of the newest and most popular wedding venues in the middle Atlantic region. Whether your special day is a large tented waterside spectacular or a small intimate moment in Kingsbay’s Crystal Ballroom, our experienced staff can help you create the experience of a lifetime. The sunset, waterside ceremonies are unbelievable. The gardens, as well as the mansion interior, provide a variety settings for perfect wedding photos.

Our list of approved caterers, florists, entertainment companies and photographers allows you to shape the wedding of your dreams. With the Kingsbay production schedule as a guide, our team will manage and rehearse your ceremony, as well as your reception. We also have dedicated staff to coordinate the bridal party, family members and all selected vendors. We’ll help you with hotel blocking and busses with schedules to and from. Our parking attendants and golf carts can also be on duty. Kingsbay has a huge value add- the mansion suites sleep twenty!

One thing we have learned from years in show business, you don’t really know the performer until they hit the stage. Such was our experience when one of our brides worried that we were not telling the photographer what to do. Most people know that a top photographer knows exactly what to do, has familiarity with the venue and has his/her wedding plan well before the wedding day. In this instance, Kingsbay producers jumped in, directing the photographer to all the best locations and assisting in staging what turned out to be some of the best photographs ever taken on property!
