Sun-Drenched Soirée at Kingsbay Mansion

From David King of Kingsbay Mansion: Kingsbay Mansion was honored to host the marriage of Taylor to Dillon Baker. The love of this amazing couple shined from the moment they walked through the mansion doors to plan their once in a lifetime wedding. It was unique, from the groom and groomsmen coming ashore by boat, to the bayside ceremony, this event was a show stopper from beginning to end. Taylor glowed in a fitted gown with a single string of pearls that draped her backless dress from necklace to waist. Every part of this stellar evening was nothing short of perfect.

From the bride, Taylor: My husband and I are both locals born and raised in Ocean View/Dagsboro, DE. Our wedding was on September 7th, 2019 at Kingsbay Mansion Bed & Breakfast in Marion, Maryland located right before Crisfield, MD. We both love the water and really enjoy going out on his boat in the Indian River to go fishing or, just to go for boat rides in the summer. We were able to stay at our venue the whole weekend along with our entire wedding party and some of our close family. Additionally, other family and friends were able to stay at nearby homes also owned by the owners of Kingsbay to rent for the weekend. It was very convenient to be able to stay at the venue all weekend, have our rehearsal dinner there the night before, get ready with our wedding party there the day of, and stay there the night of our wedding.

When we first went to tour the venue, we fell in love with it because not only was it beautiful but, also because Dillon could dock his boat there and we could have him and his groomsmen ride in at the beginning of the ceremony in front of all of our family and guests. It was very special for us to be able to have his boat at our wedding because it is very special to the both of us. We also had our adorable dog, Missy, in our wedding that my husband rescued when he found her during a rain storm in a field on my family’s farm while riding around in his truck 2 years ago.

Our wedding was a dream come true with perfect weather and such a perfect day!
