Happy Holidays to our MESW family! For Christmas this year, we’re gifting you the recipe for a perfect holiday cocktail. Deck the halls and really get into the spirit with this lovely combination of rum, Curacao, and dry vermouth that we’re calling “The Little Rummer Boy”. Jen from Bistro St. Michaels came by the studio to show us how it’s done. Read on for the recipe!
Little Rummer Boy
1.5 ounces White Rum or Lyon Sailors Reserve Aged Rum
.5 ounces Curaçao or Grand Marnier (we used Lyon Curaçao)
.25 ounces Lillet
.25 ounces Dry Vermouth
.25 ounces Grenadine or juice from whatever fancy cherries you may be using
- Combine all ingredients into a cocktail mixing cup, add ice and stir for 10 seconds.
- Strain mixture into a coupe glass and garnish with a strip of fresh orange zest or dehydrated orange slice.

*our “little rummer boy” is a little known Cuban cocktail that is also known as El Presidente
