Pops of cool blues and bright whites compliment Ariel and Elliot’s Kent Island wedding day with nautical details throughout. From the stunning ceremony with a super chic bridal party, to the romantic reception made oh so enchanting by On Your Mark Lighting, this day was planned to the nines. Talk about a dream wedding cake, this one might actually be too pretty to cut into! And to top the night, the newlyweds left in a stunning horse-drawn carriage pulled straight from a fairy tale.
About the couple:
We met at our mutual friend’s birthday party at Bluejacket in Navy Yard! The proposal story: I thought we were headed to brunch on King Street in Old Town, Alexandria for my sister’s birthday, but as we walked through Oronoco Bay Park, I noticed a beautiful picnic set up under a shady tree. As we walked toward it, I saw that the letter board sign said, “Moose (our English Springer Spaniel) and I love you,” but it still took a second to realize that the picnic was for me! Elliott got down on one knee and proposed as he held Moose on his leash, and then we enjoyed charcuterie and champagne and soaked in the moment!
