As you step into the world of wedding planning, the intricate tapestry of details that weave together to create your dream day comes to life. Among these details, few are as visually captivating and emotionally evocative as the flowers that adorn your celebration. From the elegant bouquet you carry down the aisle to the exquisite centerpieces that grace your reception, flowers play a pivotal role in setting the mood and enhancing the beauty of your wedding. However, selecting the right wedding florist can be a delicate decision in itself. We talked with Molly of Three Little Buds to get all the details on the floral process to help make your dream day come true!

Tell us a little bit about your business. What is your favorite thing about designing florals for weddings?

Art comes in so many forms, for me its flowers. Floral design has always been a passion of mine, getting to call it a career now still makes me pinch myself.

I built this business as a way to let my creative soul help others during one of life’s most beautiful moments. There is something enchanting about a wedding full of floral art. I have spent the last 10 plus years as a registered nurse and although a totally different path, the same compassion, drive, and dedication to my patients also has helped me become a wedding vendor that my clients can trust.

I’m a self taught florist training the next generation of flower enthusiasts in my three daughters. Hence where I came up with my business name, Three Little Buds.

My favorite part? Easy. The moment I get to hand deliver the bride’s bouquet that we crafted together. Seeing their reaction when I hand over something that I put my heart into is so special to me. Nothing tops it, well maybe a great reception reveal for the couple, that would be second.

Are there any trends that you are expecting to see in the 2024 wedding season?

I would love to see more floral purses. Who doesn’t love a purse with flowers in it? I am always looking for something different yet timeless in the way of floral design. I am also loving the look of mini lamps.

What do you think is the best thing about the array of options that you can potentially offer a couple?

Every couple is different. I pride myself on being able to help a couple craft the look that speaks to them as a couple. Something that they will look back on years from now and be happy with.

Can you tell us an example of a problem that you solved for a wedding client?

Not all of us have the creative gene. It’s difficult to have a Pinterest board full of photos and ideas that don’t necessarily flow. That’s where my job comes in. To use my expertise to help pull the ideas and turn into something beautiful.

What would you say are the top 3 things couples should consider when looking for a florist?

1. Your style: Is the florist skilled in the style that you are looking to achieve?
2. Trust: It is critical to trust your florist and the knowledge that they have.
3. Passion: Are they passionate not only about their work and delivering quality products but equally invested in making your day as perfect as you are?

What is the most important thing you would like couples to know about your service?

It is a collaborative approach. We work together to ensure that each detail is carefully curated to tell a story. Ensuring that my couples are happy with the final product is my utmost priority.
