The ladies of MESW have a little obsession with wedding trends… Now that we’re almost exactly halfway through 2014, we wanted to see what trends projected for this year stuck and which did not.
We talked with Kari Rider of Kari Rider Events, who as you may remember, writes our wedding trend post for our blog. Kari shared pictures from a gorgeous wedding at The Inn at Huntingfield Creek she planned recently that blew us away with how many of these trends were actually represented in one amazing wedding!
Take a look:
The rustic look was projected to be very popular, with farms, farmhouses, unfinished buildings high on the list for venues. Wood slabs and wooden table accents were also predicted to be on-trend, and boy were they ever!
Period furniture, antique lace runners, vintage doors, pearls, re-purposed flea market finds (think cool distressed candlesticks) have all proved their staying power and popularity so far this year.
Good-bye boring tablecloths! Brides were predicted to prefer opulent fabrics on the table, with color and texture. They didn’t disappoint! Gorgeous tablecloths, runners, napkins, flags, and chair covers were a beautiful, unique focal point!
How do all of these details come together, you ask? A great planner, of course! Kari will make that Pinterest board come alive!
