I don’t think there’s anything sweeter than a farmhouse engagement session, amiright? So as soon as we saw this gallery from Coty Jones Photography that took place at Kacey’s childhood home (and the place where they decided to tie the knot!), we had to share it with you loves. If you need us we’ll be scrolling through this golden-hour magic all. day. long. The best part? We’ve got these lovebirds’ wedding coming up next!
From the bride: The stories my mom used to tell of seeing my dad and having the love at first sight experience seemed like a unrealistic fairytale that I never thought would happen to me. And then I saw Karl. I knew from the moment my eyes met his that my heart belonged to him. I know not one person who doesn’t like Karl. His smile lights up any room and his personality draws in every person he comes in contact with. That made it a whole lot easier for when it was time to meet the family. I’m the youngest with two older brothers whose wives fit so naturally into our family so I knew that I had to set the bar high for the person I would choose to spend my life with. Karl surpassed that bar by a long shot. He brings out the best in me, he makes me a better person in so many ways and brought so much joy and laughter to my life from the time he stepped into it. He knows me better than I know my self and he proved that to be true in the way he proposed to me. After a weeks long vacation and the possibility of a proposal lingering in the back of my head I was let down in a way to find that the question wasn’t asked..yet. As we are driving home from the airport he was extra chattery I, on the other hand was tired and ready to be back home to see my family! My family and I are very close and even just a week without them proved to be tough, so naturally I called my dad and wanted to stop in and see him and my Mom before we went home. We weren’t able to cross paths that night (so I thought)! As I’m on the phone with my Dad, we pull down our long driveway to our house and I noticed a strange (massive) light in our yard. As anyone would be, I was a little flipped out and started questioning what in the world it was! As we got closer (still on the phone) I noticed that the big red light said something I had been waiting for my whole life–MARRY ME? I obviously said yes, and to make it even better my whole family was there in our yard ready to greet us! For Karl to know that I would want my family to share such an milestone with us meant so much to me and I will forever be grateful for him including them.
