Melissa and Matt’s Chateau Bu-De wedding has set our wine-loving, wedding-lusting hearts aflutter! What more magical backdrop than this dreamy waterfront vineyard and winery at Bohemia Manor Farm? Though the journey to find this venue was a bit of a bumpy road (read below!), this stunning gallery from Brittany Thomas Photography proves that these two lovebirds found their fairytale.
From Brittany Thomas Photography: Melissa and Matt met through mutual friends three years ago and were engaged last summer. They planned a waterfront wedding at a venue in North East, MD, where Melissa’s family has a vacation home. Just seven weeks before the wedding, the venue closed down without warning and Melissa and Matt were left searching for an available venue with less than two months to go. They found Chateau Bu-De Winery at Bohemia Manor Farm in Chesapeake City, just a bit further from their original venue, and quickly planned an outdoor ceremony with a tented reception. The weather didn’t cooperate, as Mother Nature tends to do, and the day before the wedding, they made the decision to move everything inside the newly-constructed tasting room. Crystal of Nouvelle Weddings tag-teamed with Brenda (the winery owner) to bring everything to life, quite literally, overnight! It was a whirlwind few weeks leading up to the big day, and despite the surprises, Matt and Melissa enjoyed every moment of their day surrounded by friends and family!
