From Hannah, of Hannah Belle Events: Amanda and Dallas chose Brittland Estates for their wedding weekend for a few reasons. They were looking for a place to be able to spend the entire weekend celebrating.
Unbeknownst to them, this would be more important than ever with the constraints of COVID-19. Aside from being the perfect picturesque location on the water, Brittland also offered an ideal median point for their families who would be coming fromvarious parts of the state. Brittland offered plenty of space — the manor house and the river lodge for accommodations as well as the shore line, the side garden and the back patio as locations to host various aspects of the wedding celebration. Amanda shares that the setting couldn’t have been more perfect. The bride and groom felt like royalty the whole weekend and everyone present made memories together to last a lifetime.
Their wedding was not only during an unprecedented time in history with the COVID-19 pandemic in full swing, but also a time of year with unpredictable weather on the Shore. On Friday, their rehearsal dinner was set to take place al fresco on the shore line by the river lodge. But just as the ceremony rehearsal concluded, the skies began to open up and the rain started to fall–luckily the wedding party were the type to roll with the punches — everything was picked up and moved to the beautiful sailcloth tent from Eastern Shore Tents and Events. There, on the patio under the tent, they started off the wedding weekend with a lovely, intimate dinner celebration.
Saturday the weather was looking promising but still unpredictable. About an hour before guests arrived, a brief rain storm came through. But then, the clouds parted, the sun peeked through, and radar cleared up completely The vendor team worked well together with constant communication, assisting with moving cocktail tables out into the garden at the last moment and drying off ceremony chairs. The couple had already been through so much with planning difficulties COVID-19 had presented them that the vendors were going to do anything and everything they could to make sure ‘Plan A’ was a success.
The couple shared vows by the water with their son Brodie as their ring bearer. Guests enjoyed a beautiful walk through the property up to the manor house post ceremony for a cocktail hour where they were greeted by signature drinks. Love was certainly in the air that whole weekend. Dinner, dancing and celebrating continued long into the evening when a sparkler send-off concluded the perfect night. I was so happy to have been a part of this perfectly picturesque wedding!
