You are going to love the way the past meets present in this gorgeous styled shoot from Cassidy MR Photography. From the bold and beautiful color palette to the geometric shapes and backsplash of historic brick–it’s really something special! Scroll through for more modern (and maximum!) wedding inspo.
From Syreeta of Georgia Mae Events: Marrying things of the past with modern style is an alluring juxtaposition and we love it! This shoot was inspired by our venue – a former ice and cold storage warehouse. From live music and fitness classes to bridal showers and now, micro-weddings, The Ice House serves as a fresh space to host a small intimate wedding. Exposed brick and beams were the perfect backdrop for our custom-made wooden arbor dressed with gorgeous florals. We set charcoal plates, gold chargers, and black & gold flatware against our mahogany farm table. Antique amethyst goblets were a stylish take on old favorites. Our tablescape was accented by modern black & gold candlesticks, geometric gold terrariums and a loose, organic, floral centerpiece. Keeping with the industrial vibe, the table was finished with black metal bistro chairs. Fruits and veggies (peep the baby artichokes in the bouquet and on the cake!) were a welcomed twist on traditional wedding florals. Our burnt edge invitation suite brought a slick edge to the flat lay.
The bride’s gown–flowy with a lace bodice and open back –gave us another beautiful marriage of past-meets-present design. Her chic, low, messy chignon paired well with the floral hairpiece created by our florist. Flawless neutral makeup, deep jewel-toned earrings, and a morganite & rose gold ring complete the bride’s look. We kept the groom’s look simple with a classic navy suit – sans tie & jacket – allowing his edgy persona to shine. Our cake complements the overall look–it’s a classic semi-naked cake modernized with avant-garde floral styling.
The finished look really is a work of art! Outside of the old Ice House is a great grassy area, perfect for a lounge or cocktail hour or even outdoor ceremony. We showcased this area with another nod to things of old – an antique pink couch. The couch is highlighted by the floral installation crawling up the beautiful old oak tree. We had so much fun bringing this shoot together! It was great to be able to showcase the talent we have in Central DE and on Maryland’s Eastern Shore!
