This year not only marks the 15th anniversary of the founding of My Eastern Shore Wedding, but also the start of a new chapter in the MESW story as Founder and Editor, Melissa, passes the torch and steps away from her role in MESW. We are thrilled to introduce our new Owner and Editor in Chief, Caroline!

A Note from MESW Founder, Melissa:
It is with immense pride that I introduce the new owner of MyEasternShoreWedding.com – Caroline Petosa- a wonderful woman whom I have had the pleasure of knowing since she was a young girl. As you may know, Caroline has managed the site for the last couple years, writing blog posts, communicating with vendors and generally keeping the trains running on time! From being an industrious intern during her high school years to becoming an integral part of the website’s more recent growth and success, Caroline’s dedication, passion, and unwavering commitment have been truly remarkable to witness.
Many of you may not know that MESW was started in 2009. That makes us about 15 years old! We’ve been through challenging times, the pandemic particularly stands out, and each time have come out stronger and more determined to serve our valued vendors and our audience with the highest quality website from design to content. It’s always been our goal to provide excellent value to all the vendors who’ve trusted us over the years.
Now, as I step back and entrust the future of the website to her capable hands, I‘m filled with happiness and excitement knowing that Caroline will continue to lead MyEasternShoreWedding.com to new heights. Her passion for the industry and her vision for the website align perfectly with its ethos and values. Her desire to own and nurture the website is matched only by my fervent excitement for her as she embarks on this new chapter.
I also want to acknowledge the stellar work Betsy Grieves has given us over many years. As our Sales Manager, Betsy always took the time to get to know the vendors she called on, to make sure all the necessary listing page content was collected and to support our efforts in the wedding community as a whole. I thank her truly for all she’s meant to the website and to me, personally. From now on, Caroline will also be assuming the Sales Manager duties as Betsy steps down.
Finally, I want to thank all of you for being with us through the years. To ALL our loyal vendors, new and long-lived, I cannot put into words how much your belief in our mission has meant to me and to all who’ve worked with MyEasternShoreWedding. I truly believe that the Eastern Shore has the best wedding community there is, bar none.

Meet Caroline, a passionate individual whose journey with My Eastern Shore Wedding began during her high school and college years as a creative intern. If you follow our blog, you’ve read Caroline’s work each week for some time now! Over time, she seamlessly transitioned into roles as a community manager and eventually assumed the position of Media Director. Caroline’s dedication and love for all things creative shine through in her work, making her an invaluable asset to the MESW team over the years.
Caroline’s connection to MESW runs deeper than just professional involvement; she utilized the platform to plan her very own wedding at the stunning Haven Harbour Marina Resorts. Drawing upon MESW’s curated list of vendors, Caroline orchestrated a celebration that perfectly encapsulated her vision, showcasing the beauty and joy inherent in wedding planning.
For Caroline, the allure of the wedding industry lies in its boundless creativity and the opportunity to contribute to moments of pure happiness. With a deep appreciation for the artistry and beauty of weddings, Caroline finds fulfillment in every aspect of her work, knowing that she plays a part in creating memories that last a lifetime.

As we embark on this exhilarating new journey, I am filled with immense excitement to step into leadership at My Eastern Shore Wedding, a platform that has been close to my heart for many years. Working alongside Melissa has been an invaluable experience. Melissa ignited my passion for working in the wedding industry when I was a mere 18 years old, and showed me that you truly can blend your creativity with your job, and love what you do every day. I’ve loved the pure bliss and beauty that exists within the wedding industry ever since. I am deeply grateful for Melissa’s mentorship and guidance as I’ve grown from a creative intern, to Media Director and Community Manager, and now to Owner and Editor in Chief of My Eastern Shore Wedding.
My husband, Brandon, and I utilized MESW to plan our own wedding, and it affirmed for me that the work we do at MESW really does help to make wedding dreams come true. I am eager to uphold MESW’s legacy of excellence in connecting couples with top-tier vendors. Together, Brandon and I will continue our mission of helping couples craft unforgettable wedding experiences here on the Eastern Shore, ensuring that every dream day becomes a beautiful reality.
I am honored to be able to share the exceptional work of our esteemed MESW Vendors, while also eagerly anticipating the opportunity to connect with new vendors who contribute to the beauty of weddings on the Eastern Shore. I am thrilled to continue showcasing the exquisite weddings that unfold in this cherished locale we are fortunate enough to call home.
