Step into the heart of history and rustic charm at Cow Barn, a unique wedding and event venue set amidst towering trees and surrounded by the beauty of Maryland’s Eastern Shore. Originally built in 1911 by Odella and Albert Saulsbury, Cow Barn’s story is one of resilience, reinvention, and celebration. What began as a dairy barn evolved through challenges, becoming a scrapple house, a beloved nursery and florist, and, eventually, a gathering place for generations. Today, we’re honored to continue its legacy as a place for life’s most cherished moments.
Our connection to Cow Barn began with an invitation to purchase this hidden treasure. As locals with deep ties to the area, we were captivated by its rustic beauty, the loft’s dramatic height, and the scent of aged wood. Every inch of this space tells a story, and we’ve worked to preserve its authentic character while adding comfort for our guests. The approximately 90’x40’ loft, with its 35-foot ceiling, still holds the original hay trolley that once carried hay into the loft.

We hosted our Fall Vendor Soiree at Cow Barn Events in October and it was beautiful, fabulous, and fun! Cow Barn has everything and anything you could dream of needing to host your perfectly designed event, already in their on site inventory, which made planning and designing the event that much easier. Zelie is an absolute pleasure to work with, was quick with communication, and helped ensure things ran smoothly from our first meeting all the way through the event, and cleanup afterwards. Cow Barn’s accommodations are impeccable too, with a stunning bridal suite complete with a kitchen and private restroom. I can only dream of getting ready for your big day in this space, just steps from where you’ll say your vows and celebrate your marriage. And there’s nothing better than being able to easily retire for the evening after your perfect day without having to worry about transportation because Cow Barn is a one-stop-shop for getting ready, ceremony, reception, and honeymoon suite for you and your new spouse so you can have a stress free and fun filled wedding weekend!
