“Innkeepers Bob and Tracy are fun and accommodating, they truly make Black Walnut Point Inn experience one to remember fondly. The setting is simply stunning on a beautiful day and we were so blessed! Staying at the inn with the rest of the wedding party for the weekend made for a very informal and relaxed time where we could all get to know each other in a way that would not have been possible in most other wedding settings.”

“My husband and I got married here last year, and I have nothing but positive things to say about Black Walnut Point, as well as Bob and Tracy, who run the Inn. The venue is absolutely gorgeous, with so much nature surrounding you. Everything was outside and we pitched a large tent for a very large wedding. When it rained (scratch that, down poured) the entire night leading up to wedding day, Bob and Tracy were so helpful in keeping us calm and happy, and making sure that everything that needed to be changed or altered was taken care of, even more beautifully than originally planned. We stayed at the Inn the whole weekend, along with the wedding party and it truly was the perfect place for such a special event. Not overdone, like many wedding venues you see, it is simply stunning and a great escape on your own little point in Tilghman Island.”

“As we drove along the water to the very end of Tilghman Island Road, we were enthusiastically greeted by Bob Zuber, one of the proprietors. Bob introduced us to his partner, Tracy Staples, and together they offered us a tour of their gorgeous property. We had already decided to get married, but we were going to elope. Upstairs in one of the guest rooms, looking out at the sun sparkling on the Bay, we realized that we had ended up at BWPI for a reason, and this was the place where we would be married!
From the moment we mentioned a wedding to Bob and Tracy, we knew that we could work with them to create an entire weekend that would represent exactly what we wanted – not what the wedding industry tells us we should have. They took the time to listen to our ideas, helped us create a ceremony that captured our love for each other, and put us in touch with top-notch vendors who helped create the perfect ambience for all of the festivities. We had 10 months to plan the wedding, and with the thoughtful and capable guidance of Bob and Tracy at each step of the process, this was a time filled with joy and anticipation, rather than stress.
As innkeepers, Bob and Tracy were extraordinarily gracious hosts, making all our guests feel welcome in their home. No matter what happened that weekend, Bob and Tracy took care of every detail so we didn’t have to think about anything except having the best time of our lives.
It’s been six months since our wedding weekend at BWPI and all of our guests have remarked that ours was the best wedding they had ever attended. Yes, we put a lot of thought into making sure it was a memorable event. But our efforts were magnified many times over by the attention to detail and generosity of spirit that Bob and Tracy provided that weekend. At the end of the festivities, we left this magical spot, and our two newest friends, Bob and Tracy, knowing that we will return often to reminisce and to celebrate.”

“Black Walnut Point Inn was an amazing and beautiful place to get married. My husband and I wanted a small event with our immediate families over a long weekend that felt like a vacation. Bob and Tracy helped us organize activities (fishing charter, spa trip, etc.) and catering (lunches brought to the inn, a rehearsal dinner with fresh fish caught during the charter, back porch crab feast, etc.) for our party of 13 over four days.
On the day of the wedding, Tracy actually performed our ceremony, and both Bob and Tracy helped us plan a sunset sail and an amazing dinner at a nearby restaurant. Our entire group was able to stay at the inn, and it totally felt like home. Bob and Tracy are great hosts, talented event planners, and the most flexible and easy-going guys.”

“Two and a half years ago, my husband and I got married at the Black Walnut Point Inn. We are so happy that we found this very special place and the awesome people who manage it. Bob and Tracy are the most fun, welcoming people you will ever meet. Many of our guests commented on that; we already knew it from the times we had sat down with them to plan the wedding. They feel like family to us now and it’s fun to go back and celebrate our anniversaries at the Inn!
Bob knows a great deal about planning and running weddings, and he helped walk us through so many details that we didn’t even think about. You really get the value of his help planning wedding details, so that’s why I checked that I got “wedding planning” as a service as well. We felt such a connection with Tracy that we asked if he would officiate our wedding, and I hear he continues to do that! He was a wonderful officiant – the ceremony was personalized and both funny and touching at times. Again, all guests agreed on that.
We also got great recommendations for local places to provide other services – catering, flowers, cake, etc. They helped us tailor this to our tastes, and we were happy with everything. With this beautiful location, your pictures will be stunning. Our family stayed at the Inn and other family and friends stayed at nearby hotels if they lived too far to drive. Tilghman Island was a fun getaway for people whether from DC or farther away.
For me (the bride), one of the best things was that no matter how much anticipation or stress you may feel with wedding planning, you get to this calm spot at the tip of the bay and it is just so relaxing that you can’t help but to take a deep breath and relax (and have fun). Bob and Tracy cultivate that atmosphere very well – they know how to celebrate and focus on the important things. I imagine that any wedding there is unique and enjoyable.”
