Happily Ever After at The Covered Bridge Inn

October 14, 2020
Morgan and T.C. couldn’t wait for the pandemic to pass to start their happily ever after! As soon as larger weddings were allowed in Delaware, these two celebrated a beautiful and memorable day. Featuring golden Eastern Shore sunsets, sparkling lights, jaw dropping floral details, their portrait session even included a handsome horse! This happily ever after was perfectly (and safely) captured by J. Nicole Photography. We promise you’re going to love this gallery…and you’re going to want a horse at your wedding!

From the bride, Morgan: TC and I are both public school teachers who along with most of the population got sent to work from home in March of 2020. With our wedding being more than 2 months away at the time, we thought the now global pandemic would be wiped out earlier than June and we would be in the clear to celebrate our marriage on June 6, 2020. HAHA! March and April passed by with the numbers rising to then a complete state shutdown, but we decided we wouldn’t let this stop our happily ever afer and we would get married on June 6, 2020 if it was in our backyard. We continued to send out invitations, and then second invitations in May to let everyone know we were still on! Vendors started reaching out, some cancelling, and some calling me crazy! Ingrid Hopkins at the Covered Bridge Inn stuck with us the entire time. She believed in utilizing her large outdoor open aired farm and barn to give us the wedding we had been dreaming for, for so long. We met and came up with a plan where we could work together to safely open for our special day.
On May 20, we sat in our living room on ZOOM with the State of Delaware to get our marriage license, and from them on I was confident this wedding was happening! June came and with state guidelines, modifications, a slight cut in our guest list, and amazing vendors, we made our day magical. A socially distant ceremony and reception where all of our closest family and friends could celebrate with us made it even more special. Countless people asked us daily if our wedding was still on, or how we were going to do it. The same thing every time, “our plan remains to be patient and hopeful”. That we were, and thanks to EVERY single vendor it was all worth it. The weather, the flowers, the people, the details, the vendors, the food, the amazing bridal party, everything was just as perfect as we could ever imagine, and we couldn’t be happier as Mr. and Mrs. Howard!
