We cannot stop scrolling through the endless delicate details of Sara & Luke’s Chestertown wedding. Her flowing Allure gown, a mix of soft + organic florals, and an intimate post-ceremony walk on the beach… are you asking yourself if it can get any dreamier? It can when the guest favors are bottles of homemade wine! Best. Idea. Ever.
From Rachel Kendall Events: Most of the brides & grooms that come our way have a love and knack for DIY and design. From our first call with Sara, we knew she would be one of those gems we would talk about for years to come.
Sara created her hand-drawn invitations along with all the other paper elements for their wedding day. The centerpieces consisted of a mixture of antique glasses + bottles that Sara and her mother either previously owned or scouted. To put the icing on the cake (literally), her and her mother made their wedding cake from scratch the day before the big day! We can’t forget to mention her father who makes wine on the side, which bottled and partnered with a custom label, was the perfect guest favor! The groom, Luke, did not contribute to the design but I will have to say that during the reception we got to listen to one of his rap songs and it sure was impressive! 😉
Taking place at one of our favorite venues on the Eastern Shore, Great Oak Manor, we arrived on Wednesday to get the rentals checked off and the tent put up! As the week continued we felt just like a part of their family by the brunch wedding Saturday morning! With the talents of the below vendors and a perfect Eastern Shore day, it was a day to remember!
