A coastal wedding at the Inn at Haven Harbour was perfect for these truly nautical newlyweds. Caroline and Brandon’s wedding day was filled with personal details that showed their love for the sea and for each other. A driftwood arch, a ceremony departure by boat, and an ocean inspired wedding band for Brandon just made sense for a couple who first met at the beach! Tied together with beautiful blue details and gorgeous greenery by Chesapeake Blooms, this day was nothing short of spectacular. Cassidy MR Photography captured all the love and laughter of this day, including an adorable flower pup and an epic dance party to end the night!
From the bride:
Caroline & Brandon’s Dream-Day-Come-True
A beach wedding was an obvious choice for us. Not only is the beach our favorite place to be, but our love story started waterfront as well. Haven Harbour provided the tropical island getaway of our dreams, and gave us a place where the whole family could celebrate the wedding weekend together!
Surrounded by all of our favorite people from the moment we woke up, the day was filled with so much laughter and love, even before the ceremony began. It just got better and better from there.
Our whole family stayed together in The Cottage at the Inn at Haven Harbour, which came complete with breathtaking views of the ceremony site to enjoy all weekend long. When guests arrived, we were able to watch from The Cottage as they admired the gorgeous waterfront that we love so much. When the music began, my cousin led the way showering the aisle in petals as we processed in. Brandon walked our puppy, Oakley, into the ceremony with him and she sat perfectly with the groomsmen while we exchanged our vows. My father walked me down the aisle to meet Brandon under Haven Harbour’s beautiful driftwood arch, where one of our most cherished friends performed our ceremony.
After the ceremony we hopped aboard Andover for a private cocktail hour while we cruised to the reception site. We all love boating, so being able to celebrate with our family and bridal party on the water was the perfect, personal touch to make our day that much more special.
When we arrived at the reception site, at Haven Harbour’s Lil’ Tahiti Beach, we were greeted with our signature drinks and a dance floor that was begging to get going. We danced into the reception with our bridesmaids and grooms people and had the most amazing first dance to our favorite song.
The dinner by Chesapeake Chefs was amazing. If you know me, you know I’m all about the dessert. A dessert bar was a must: cake pops, petit fours, macaroons, and chocolate covered strawberries to go along side our wedding cake made for the sweetest selection I could dream of.
After dinner, I shared a super special dance with my mom before the father-daughter dance. The dance floor opened with Sweet Caroline while I danced with dad, and everybody joined the fun. Surrounded by so many amazing people and so much love, we quite literally danced the night away.
