– Tell us a little bit about Chesapeake Blooms. –

We are a luxury floral design studio in historic downtown Easton. We are a bit different in that we are full service florist. We have a specialty boutique, bespoke florals and then of course our wedding and event business. We love designing weddings as each one is unique – every bride is special, their vision’s are unique, and then of course each set up is unique.

 

– Are there any trends that you are expecting to see in the 2024-25 wedding seasons? –

We are seeing a lot more color in 2024. One color palette that we are seeing more often this now is rich, moody, jewel tones and these are lovely to design with. But the trend that I am most excited about is that many brides are making more sustainable choices with natural, local / seasonal floral choices in array of color palettes.

 

– What would you say are the top 3 things couples should consider when looking for a florist? –

I would first say style – does the floral designer’s style match up with your vision. Another is connection – The couple and floral designer work together for about 12 months bringing the vision to life so it is important that a rapport is built. And of course reviews / reputation – does the designer have an excellent reputation in the marketplace?

 

– What do you think is the best thing about the array of options that you can potentially offer a couple? –

Because we are a full service florist, we have endless potential at our finger tips — Design expertise, experienced staffing, access to quality florals, and a large rental inventory.

 

– What is the most important thing you would like couples to know about Chesapeake Blooms? –

We are a bespoke floral studio. Everything we do is custom. So our focus is on the couple and specifically bringing their vision to life. We have many years of combined floral designed experienced on our staff and What’s Up Media just awarded us Best of Weddings for 2024.
