From Bonnie Sen Photography: Taryn and Daniel are a fun couple who met through their mutual love of rec sports, so we all knew their wedding would be fun! They planned an outdoor wedding on the Chesapeake Bay and dreamed up ideas for a wedding inspired by the environment of the bay. The colors of the wedding were envisioned as blush, gray, pale aqua, and other neutrals that have understated elegance but wouldn’t overpower the natural beauty of the Chesapeake. It was a beautiful, sunny, and perfect day for portraits outdoors on the bay, followed by an interfaith marriage performed by the groom’s father and the bride’s family’s rabbi. The mood of the wedding was quite casual and informal and also very personal. After the ceremony, guests headed to the open-air bar to watch the sunset over the water as they enjoyed Maryland’s finest (including Natty Boh & Old Bay crab cakes–yum!). At sunset the guests were invited into the Beach Club’s ballroom to find their seats. The tables were numbered and labeled with the different concerts that the bride and groom had attended during their courtship. A guitar player and solo singer were entertaining the guests as the food was being served with acoustic renditions of N’SYNC and The Backstreet Boys, which led to impromptu sing-alongs and dance-offs. A video of this was circulating on Instagram, and allegedly was “liked” by the Backstreet Boys’ account. Following dinner the couple and guests had their special dances in the open air bar on the water, followed by a packed dance floor, a soul train line, and the much awaited opening of the “Treat Yo’ Self” Bar full of donuts, pies, and other deserts.
