– Tell us a little bit about Collective Event Group. What is your favorite thing about working in the wedding industry? –

Collective Event Group is a full-service tent and event rental company offering four showroom locations in Delaware and Pennsylvania covering Delaware, Eastern Shore of Maryland, Pennsylvania and Southern New Jersey. We are focused on offering vast inventory selections and top quality customer service. We offer several tent styles, including Sailcloth and Clear Top Tents, a variety of dance floor and band stage options, over a dozen rental chair styles as well as Linen and tabletop rental products. Our sales team boasts decades of industry experience and knowledge, which makes the rental process seamless for our clients. The CEG sales team loves helping our clients achieve their dream weddings with our guidance.

Are there any trends that you are expecting to see in the upcoming wedding seasons? –

Looking into the upcoming wedding seasons, outdoor tented weddings are holding strong. We are seeing less formality and more customized reception styles that fit our client’s personality. For example, avoiding the tradition sit-down dinner service and see more small plate food stations and cocktail party style seating arrangements. Lounge seating vignettes mixed in for seating are becoming more and more common.

– What would you say are the top 3 things couples should consider when looking for a tent and rental provider? –

Flexibility – make sure you’re rental company will allow you to make changes, whether that be guest count adjustment, completely changing a selection such as a tent style, or a reduction in tent size based on your final guest count. We allow clients to book based on the maximum guest count, then make reductions up until 10 days out. They are only charged for the finalized quantity of items they need to rent. We also allow weather related adjustments, such as sidewalls up to a few days before delivery.

Apples to Apples – when getting tent and wedding rental quotes from multiple companies, make sure you are actually comparing pricing and service apples to apples. If you ask for a Clear Top Tent and Chiavari Chairs on the quote from one company and then another company provides a quote for a High Peak Tent and folding chairs they shouldn’t be compared to one another. Here at CEG when we provide a quote for a wedding, we make sure that all aspects are covered and not just the bare minimum. We will ask questions to make sure our initial price quote is realistic based on your rental needs to avoid additional costly additions down the line. Outside of inventory selection options, make sure you know what other services the rental company will provide. Here at Collective Event Group everything from your site visit, to your CAD tent layout, to as many showroom visits/phone calls/emails/contract changes as you would like to have are included!

Quality of Rental Inventory and Customer Service – It’s always a good idea to see first hand what you are selecting. We also understand this isn’t possible for many clients coming in from out of town or state. But in order for our clients’ to feel very confident and comfortable with their rental selections, we will facetime, send photos, event do sample table set ups, pretty much whatever we are asked to do. We provide the level of service that we would expect to receive ourselves if it were our wedding.

– What do you think is the best thing about the array of options that you can potentially offer a couple? –

Our rental inventory options aren’t a one size fits all, we don’t offer “packages” – instead we take the time to talk, and more importantly listen to our clients to get a feel for the look and vibe they want to achieve and build from that. I love that we can provide rentals for any style or themed wedding or event. Whether it’s a casual backyard event, a nautical themed reception or a glitz and glamour high end affair – we have the appropriate selection options across the board!

– Can you tell us about a time when you problem solved for a wedding client? –

During the pandemic, we learned quickly how to roll with the punches. Weddings and events were being cancelled left and right and it all happened quickly. When there is an issue, whether it’s a date change or total cancellation we work with clients’ on a case by case scenario. We understand how many pieces of the puzzle there are when planning a wedding and we will do our best to make sure our couples are being taken care of with the utmost attention.

– What is the most important thing you would like couples to know about Collective Event Group? –

The CEG team takes our events personally. At times we work with clients for well over a year during the planning process, we develop working relationships and personally care that their wedding or event is a success. We invest ourselves on a personal level, why wouldn’t we? Your wedding day is the most important day of your life.
