Maryland Pride Wedding Inspo on the Chesapeake Bay

Y’all, this Maryland Pride wedding inspo has totally stolen our hearts! Sara Reynolds Events and Hannah Leigh Photography have taken all of our favorite parts of the Shore and tied them together in this stunning shoot. All these lovely details + the amazing waterfront views offered up by Silver Swan Bayside, and you end up with magic like this…

From Hannah Leigh Photography: The inspiration for this shoot was Maryland pride with a hint of charming preppy details! Maryland is known for the blue crab so we tried to incorporate crabs in any way possible. For the bar, we showcased the well-known Orange Crush cocktail and local Boordy Vineyard wines labeled with a blue crab, an Oriole, and a mallard. Lauren Perry Studio created a gorgeous nautical invitation suite and Silver Swan Bayside offered an amazing waterfront backdrop.

We dressed our groom is charming red pants, Sperry’s, and a wood duck bow tie (Maryland is known for its duck hunting). The florals were locally sourced from farmers here in Maryland, arranged by Bay Blooms Weddings, and tied with a monogrammed ribbon from Oatmeal and Lace. All the colors paid homage to the Maryland state flag by staying within yellow, red, and white (and touches of navy/black).

Our dessert table showcased all local companies as well–a Smith Island Cake and both Berger & Otterbein Cookies–a sure way to satisfy Maryland’s sweet tooth!
