We had the sweet job of taking a little road trip down to Cambridge to visit one of our vendors in the Cake, Cookies & Cupcake Design Category. Bay Country Bakery, owned and operated by Gena and Dave Levy, is a full service Bakery right on Ocean Gateway (better known as Route 50) in lovely Cambridge, Maryland. Though they make delicious breads, donuts, cupcakes, cookies (you name it!), Gena’s specialty is wedding cakes. What started out as a favor for a friend has become a booming business! What makes them special? Her mad design skills and the taste of her cakes. Gena can create almost anything… and she has! I went down to see her create one of her masterpieces. The bride came in with an idea from Pinterest and asked Gena to recreate it. The cake is called a Ruffle Cake and it turned out amazing, take a look:
