Jill & Joe’s Beachy Ocean City Elopement

We’ll be the first to admit we’re not quite ready to say goodbye to summer! The Eastern Shore boasts an array of attractions and stunning scenery throughout the year, but there’s an argument to be had that those sweet summer days between June and September are the best. So since another season has come and (almost!) gone in the land of beach days and boat rides, we thought we’d leave you with this sweet Ocean City elopement from Laura’s Focus Photography!

From Laura of Laura’s Focus Photography: Jill and Joe didn’t want to worry about all the details of planning a big wedding. Instead, they came up with the sweetest way to celebrate their marriage on the beach in Ocean City, Maryland! Jill has been coming to this beach since she was born and it has always held a special place in her heart. While teaching high school English, she met Joe who happened to teach gym and coach football at the same school. He asked her out on a date where they watched fireworks at a town festival, and they’ve been together ever since! Every summer, you can find these two on the beach or boardwalk in Ocean City so this was the perfect place to tie the knot. They had a private ceremony right on the beach at 44th street and afterwards a few storm clouds rolled in making for a beautiful sky. Our next stop was the inlet so they could do a little people-watching. Jill ordered her favorite ice cream with colorful sprinkles and the newlyweds shared a first dance as the sun peeked out giving us that beautiful golden light!
